hi…yesterday a client came to me whith a bunch of footage he shot along with this problem…the footage seems to flicker in intensity…like those old movies…the first thing i thought was to try to colour correct it frame by frame and cycling the keyframes and hope that these keyframes match up to the following cycles of the flickering of the footage…in itself is very time consuming coz of the amount of shots there were…has anyone come accross a good plugin that can help solve or at least reduce the flicker quickly?…please help coz i dun wana spend my sunday in the office fixing this problem…lol…thanks…merv

[kuaishou] “the footage seems to flicker in intensity”

My first recommendation would be to do as Dave suggested and find out what the shooting conditions were.

Second thing I’d do is look at all of the color channels individually (opt-1 through opt-3, alt-1 through alt-3 on PC). If there is flickering in one of the RGB color channels and not the others then it was likely a serious equipment problem.

Any solution in post will not be nearly as elegant as re-shooting the footage, and it will likely be much harder.
