    Hey everyone,

I’m not sure where to post this exactly but I’ll go ahead and post it here, I’m a filmmaker and just finished up my first film, now a lot of my work was between Premiere Pro cs 5.5 and After Effects cs 5.5, the videos were dynamically linked and color corrected and effects added, I used specific plug-ins in AE. I have already rendered out the film to both DVD and H264, all this was done using a MAC. I have moved over to a HP now and was wondering if I were to go back and export the Film by using Adobe Media Encoder would I need to have Adobe cs5.5 with all the plugins installed on the computer? Also lets say I want to add subtitles to the entire film what should I do, go to encore add subtitles there to an already exported file, or do I open the entire project in Premiere and add it there?

If someone could maybe tell me their workflow and how they go about final products it would be great.

Yes. While you could use a newer version of Premiere/AE, you’ll still need the proper 3rd party plug-ins.

If you want visible subtitles at all times, then you need to add them as titles in Premiere. If you want a subtitle track for DVD, then this can be performed in Encore alone using your existing mpeg 2 DVD video file https://helpx.adobe.com/encore/using/subtitle-basics.html

Thanks for the reply, I do have one more thing to add, when I installed the new CS6 and put all the same plug-ins and attempted to open my timeline, a lot of things were not the way they were supposed to be any idea why?
