    Hello,
I am trying to use the Old Film presets of the Film Effects plugin in Vegas Pro 10. The problem I have is that the stills I am using, all in sepia tones, have large parts of sunlit sky. Since most of the specks, lines and dust in the effect are white they’re only barely visible in the rendered clip.
I’d like to know if there is a way of “inverting” the effect to make the white impurities black so that they become more visible. I have already tried placing the effect on a separate track and using a different blend mode with no success.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Diego, I’m running Vegas 9 but I think the plug-in is the same. I had a similar problem where the clip was shot from a low angle and had a lot of sky in it.

I used the circular “cookie cutter” effect with a lot of “feather” so that the edges of the clip had a dark “burned-in” look. The scratches then showed up a bit more…Pete.
