September 25, 2009 at 2:16 pmsome are mpeg4 files and some are mov files. I’m trying to understand why only the video files are opening in Vegas, and not the audio as well. These are files for which both were opening a week ago.

September 25, 2009 at 3:41 pmIf you have iTunes on your computer and have recently updated it, this is most likely the source of your problems as it also installs the newest (7.6.4) version of QuickTime and this has been causing grief to a lot of Vegas users.
Find and install a copy of version 7.6.2 of QuickTime. -

October 1, 2009 at 2:43 pmSteve, I’m glad I was able to help.
This problem has caused grief to a lot of Vegas users recently.
I’ve told my family NOT to download the latest version of iTunes or face the consequences of me being VERY upset 🙂 -

October 5, 2009 at 12:28 amI thought I was done. I wouldn’t mind using an old version of quicktime and/or itunes. But now I can’t open itunes. The message says itunes .itl library file cannot be read because it was created by a more recent version of itunes. I thought it was created by an older version, when I finally got Vegas to work with imported clips again. Any wisdom?
