Hi, I think I’m missing something fundamental… Is there an “easy” way to fill the gaps between, for example, the states in the picture? If you just put a stroke around it, it does not produce a uniform result. The lines on the coast are thinner than the ones between states. Ideally, I don’t want the gaps between the states without using a stroke. If that’s not possible, how can I create a uniform stroke? Thank you!

The gap filling of the text is done by “kerning” and “tracking” option to manually adjust the spacing of the text. Go to window panel, hover on type and open “character” panel to find these options.
