    Hi all,

in Illustrator 12 (CS 2) on a Mac I would like a single character to fill a closed path shape
like a semi-circle. Effectively I would like to re-shape the character, that it adapts the
    semi-circle shape.
In a way it’s a bit like area type

First, I am still using Illustrator CS 1, therefore CS 2 might have much
    more advanced features here.

    Try Object/Envelope Distort/Make with Mesh/
choose the Rows and Colums you need
and move the points and handles.

    Cheers

Thanks, Nolan. It goes into the right direction, there’re a couple of things you can do.
Great, thanks. I will have probably to draw it from scratch with shapes & the pen-tool
to get exactly what I want.

    Many thanks again. Cheers
