    After Compressing the Source Video (Uncompressed) to DV50 through Media Manage, the new files have all different icons.. the shorter names are defaulted to open with Quicktime, and the longer named files have FCP icons… its not the end of the world by any means, just curious… All the media was captured through FCP at 10 Bit Uncompressed and all those files have uniform icons…

    in the Finder, click on the file you want to open in a different program and “get info” and change the “Open with” option to what ever you like. Then right below that is a button labelled “Change All”

    thanks, yeah understand how to do that, but was just curiously looking/investigating at why this would happen..
