  • Files transcoded in Adobe Media Encoder trancode again when building project in Encore

    Hey guys,

The title basically says it all. I have edited my footage in Premiere, trancoded it in Media Encoder and now want to build a DVD out of it all in Encore. When I have set up my project with menu’s and chapters and want to build it, Encore starts trancoding the files again. This shouldn’t be happening in my opinion, right? The DVD transcode status of the videos as well says “Untranscoded”. Does someone know what I should do to fix this?

The transcoding preset I used was PALL DV Widescreen, using the H.264 codec.

    Cheers,

    Jerome

H.264 is not the correct codec for DVD. There is a specific preset for MPEG-2 DVD.
