Files render, but remain unrendered – I have a deadline!!!
I’m having a day from hell. I have a timeline with media, captured as dvcpro hd, on my clients fw raid. First, while rendering the timeline, the raid disappears and all media goes offline. Fine, I shutdown, reboot, the raid is back. Run discwarrior on it, which says no problems, replace directory anyway. Trash prefs. Re-open FCP, and next time I attempt to render, it takes longer than it should for an 8 minute sequence w/ one layer and lots of transitions – maybe 5 minutes. At the end of the render, everything remains unrendered. Re-rendering does nothing, and takes way too long. Made sure everything is checked under the pulldown menu, so no operator error there.
I’m guessing one of the drives in the raid is set to go. Would this account for the files that won’t render?
