  • Files missing after shoot CANON 5D MarkIII

    Hello,

I just had a video shoot with interview and b-roll with the Canon 5D MarkIII, using a CF card(formatted in camera).

I collected at least 20 b-roll clips in 24fps and 60 fps. I get back to my office, insert the card into my card reader and at least 13 of my clips I recorded are missing from the card. The files in the card jump from EP9A8367 to EP9A8380 so I know that I recorded the clips they are just missing.

When I insert the card back in the camera, the footage is also missing. My b-roll clips were 10-20secs each.

Is my footage lost forever? Can I recover of the files if I use recovery software? Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

    All help is appreciated.

    Thanks.
