  • Files glitching when converting to ProRes in Compressor

When I convert a Fraps file (*.avi) to ProRes I get some glitching (see pictures) on single frames. Usually only one or two frames over 10 minutes but that really shouldn’t happen. (using Compressor 4.0.7)

Any ideas why this might happen? Is it just normal for technology to do this? Someone once told me that they use Avid because it’s more reliable and I never really knew what they meant, (until now) Stuff like this happens too often in FCP7 so just wondering if little glitches like this happen in Avid too for no reason.
