Fileproblems and motion problem

I´m writting from Sweden and I´m not so fluent in english but:
problem 1:
I created one new project in FCP, worked with it and saved it. Then I opened the sequense and pressed ctrl (don´t know the buttonname in MAC) and C and created one new project, and pastled (ctrl + V) the things from the timeline, to the new project. Now when I want to export to an quicktimemovie, I can see some trouble with the video. It kind of hacks….10 seconds in the video….then 14,18, 25 ….
I have worked with this 6 months now and don´t want to lose it all. Can I copy the rended files and put it in “rended files” for project 2? Need help!`problem 2:
One more thing, when I press alt + right (mouse) I get this menu and I send the current videofile from FCP, “send to motion” and I do it. There, I choose filters-> vinette (youknow the oval thing with black colour around?), then I save it, and the videofile in FCP changes to filename.motion. When I press PLAY I then can see the same problem like with problem nr 1 above. The clip looks like I have choosen the “speed” function under “Modify” in the menu, in FCP, why is this happening?

It is difficult to guess the problem from the information you give. Are these problem sequences rendered? What color is the bar at the top of the timeline? What are your RT settings?

Where do I see the RT settings? What settings do I need to have to make this work?
Everything is rendered, the whole thing. Some stuff are dark – purple,and some lightblue, the things that I don´t have rendered yet are red or green (the bar at the top), but everything is rendered.

RT settings are on the far left of the timeline, in the track panel. I thought you might have been using unlimited RT or something. But you have everything rendered, so it’s something else.

I think I had this ” RT UNLIMITED” Yes! And my teacher changed between UNLIMITED and something else….I think so. I know I had UNLIMITED before…
how can I fix this?Can I move the rendered files from the old project to the new under ” rendered files” , in the same then…or what?
Do I need to also move “captured files” from project 1 to the new project? To put the files in the new projects ” Captured…” folder? -
If you are using “Unlimited RT,” certain clips will play, but at a reduced quality and/or frame rate. It might be simpler to work in “Safe RT” mode. There is a little drop-down menu on the left side of your track panel where you can select this. With that setting, your unrendered clips will have a red bar over them. When you render, that bar changes to blue-gray. “Motion” projects in the timeline always require rendering. “Safe RT” should make things clearer for you.
Unless you are very familiar with Final Cut and how it organizes clips, media files and render files it is best not to try to move those items from one place to another. You will run into trouble doing that.
Shane Ross has made a good DVD about organization in Final Cut. This could save you a lot of grief in getting started. Larry Jordan also has a good article on his site about organizing projects.
