    Hey,

I’m using the recently released PC Beta version of Resolve Lite.

When searching through the BROWSER, only files shot strait from a camera are showing up as possible video files I can use. All other video files don’t even show up.

What files and/or codecs are supported in Resolve Lite?

What is the recommended format/codec to work with on graded footage without losing information to unwanted compression?

    Thanks!

BMD actually has a document on the Support page that answers this question.

Yep, I saw that. I think I’m encountering a bug or I’m doing something wrong. Sometimes video files show up, other times, the same video files, don’t show up. This all happens when I search for files to add to my media pool.

Hi Dan, what are the file types that you are using?

I’ve tried a couple of file types, this is what happens:

-Acceccing a folder with H.264 (MP4) files out of a Canon 5D MII work. (But these are not good files to grade)

-Opening a folder with Prores 422 files sometimes reveals the files, sometimes does’nt. I don’t expect them to work since I’m on a PC. However, after accessing the folder, I can no longer see any of the Canon 5D MII files in the previous folder. I need to restart Davinci Resolve to see them again.

-Cineform (MOV) doesn’t show up either. I have the codec installed and it works on my other programs.

-H264 (MOV) show up, but the playback is black.

-The only thing the works properly is Uncompressed YUV (MOV)

-DPX seems to be a bit slow on the playback side.
