File Size Issue
After recording a 45′ event with 3 cameras in UHD, importing the three files into MC8 took 5 hours per file. My PC is an HP Z800 with dual Xeon CPUs and 48Gb of RAM. I’m a little shocked at the 15 hour total import time : is there anything that can be done to improve on this or is this just part of the joys of UHD? I notice that generating optimised media in Resolve 15 took only 2.5 hours.

Import is a slow single processor process… you are better off linking and transcoding which uses more processors to transcode the media.
