File Path Too Long issue
Hi
I’m trying to collect a project and getting an error that “The file path is too long:….” Then it lists the name of the project several times until it runs out
of dialog box space.I thought shortening the name of the actual AEP proj would fix this, but i’m still getting this error.
I have lots of collected projects imported into this project, i’m think thats maybe part of the problem?

It may not be listing the same file, but several files that are too long. Best to look over your files list for your project and start renaming them properly.

In addition to what Todd suggested, look for spaces and special characters. They can massively screw AE on occasion.

thanks for the help.
it seems like thats working, tho its kind of a mission to find all those assets and rename them.
I checked the AE manual and could find no mention of this issue.

I have tried Long Path Tool which can be found at (longpathtool(dot)com) or simply, Google it.
This program is very effective, Yet, I don’t experience anymore error about long path file
