  File imports from Sony Handycam

  Client gave us an HDR-UX20 with some shots on the internal chip. We have imported files from their camcorder before an the files always came in as mpeg and imported no problem. This time they shot stuff in the HD mode and the files are labeled as “.MTF” and they are reading as a Unix executable file in the window. They will not import into the FCP. The files playback in the camera so I know their material is not compromised. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
