I am trying to import an audio file off a cd which shows up as a cda file and whether I drag it into the project window or try to import it I always get the file import failure message. Any ideas on how I can get this file into my project window so I can cut it on the timeline? Thank you.

You need to convert the CDA to a .wav or other format understood by Premiere (see the import file list). Do a Google search on CDA to Wav and you’ll find a lot of rippers that will do the job.

I think you can even do it in the Windows Media Player these days.
