File Error : Wrong Type
I tried opening a .FCP file and the following error message comes up:
File Error : Wrong Type
What is this and how can I open my .FCP file to resume editing on my project?

Hi,
The problem seems to have to do with the the difference between the fcp 5 and fcp 6 file types. I had both 5 and 6 running for a while and got the same warning you did. The cure was to only have version 6 in the applications folder when opening files. Don’t move it or rename it.
