    Hello,

I’ve been hung up all day on a file importing error.

“File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown.”

What’s weird is that i’m only trying to import one file, and it thinks there is two?.. maybe?

It is a 16-bit stereo 48kHz audio file, i’ve tried other audio files from previous projects and they also will not import. I am able to import graphics.. just not audio.

I have tried copying the file to other drives and importing with no luck. I can not import the .aiff into a new project file either. I have trashed preferences and restarted a few times, again no luck. drag and drop from the finder also does not work.

Soon might consider headbutting the cinema display..

Thanks in advance for any help and tips!

Try dropping the AIFF file in a open “iTunes” list.
    (Make sure it plays OK.)

    In iTunes choose:
    iTunes > Preferences > Importing > AIFF> Custom > 48.000 kHz, 16 bit, Stereo >OK

Click on your problem AIFF file in the iTunes list, then choose:
Advanced > Convert Selection to AIFF.

Locate this new iTunes-converted AIFF and drag it into FCP.
