Hi, I’ve researched this topic pretty thoroughly on this forum and a little bit elsewhere, but nobody seems to have an answer… After importing an EDL and reconnecting the source clips I get a ‘file attribute mismatch’ error saying that the clip I’m reconnecting doesn’t match the original. They are in fact the same clip. The attribute that doesn’t match is: “rate”. I assume that’s the frame rate. I can click through with ‘connect’, but the error causes FCP to stop reconnecting other clips, which means manually reconnecting dozens of clips.

Does anyone know a workaround that would allow FCP to keep reconnecting clips? You can try this on your system. Load 2-3 clips, make a new sequence. Cut up the clips on the sequence then export the EDL. Now try reimporting the EDL and connecting the clips to the original source clips… any file attribute mismatch? I’ve tried scanning the EDL to see if there’s anything that would cause a mismatch, but don’t see anything obvious. Thanks- Jerome
