I have found my problem but have no idea how to fix it.

    I start a new project.

    I create a comp.

I import the footage which is 33 seconds and put it in the comp.

I add the effect of timewarp.

I now to go the timeline and notice that the slower I set the timewarp like 50% the more it cuts off the original footage. The only way I can scrub all the footage is to set it at 100% which is of course no timewarp effect.

Tried rendering and it just cuts off the footage.

    Please advise.

I don’t have AE7 but when I demo-ed it, I did a time Warp Test and if I remember right, you need to ReInterpret your footage.

In the Project Window, right click you footage, Interpret Footage>Main, then set the loop to 2, for a 50% reduction of Time Warp and 3 if 33%. Hope that makes sense. It seems like they should have taken this into account when they made the plugin (if that’s possible) and made the reinterpret/looping automatic. But, maybe this isn’t your problem.

Have you tried using the stretch function when you expand the In/Out/Duration/Stretch pane on the lower left of the timeline window? Stretch your clip to 200% for a 50% reduction in speed. (This works well if the clip does not have alot of motion but looks pretty good. Of course timewarp may give you more control)

    Menu/Layer/Time/Enable Time Remapping.

That lets you make the layer as long as you want. I think the remapping filter works after the remapping tool, so you don’t even have to edit the keyframes. Just apply this effect and make the layer 3 times as long.
