I have the FieldsKit plugin for AE and I can’t seem to make it work. I have read the manual, read the tutorials on CC, but no advice seems to solve my problem.

I have footage from a Canon XH A1 filmed at 60i. The fotage is porperly identified at 29.97. I ma trying to get this to 60p(59.94) so that I can apply Twixtor to it.

The manual/tutorial says to go to interpet footage and turn source fields to none. Done.

    Then, create a 59.94 comp
    Drop footage into comp
    Drop on FieldsKit
    Set to 2x FPS

When I page down through the comp, it duplicates frames instead of interpolating. For instance, -> page down -> frame with movement, ->page down->same frame, ->page down->next frame with movement, ->page down->same frame.

I have tried changing fields from upper to lower (just to check) and same results.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks,

I replicated on an old machine with 3.2 and then check with 3.2.3 and the problem is gone.
So I think this was fixed. You need to download the latest version of FieldsKit on our website.

Actually, it’s only orange screen in Premiere Pro, not AE.

At what step (at final render or in interactive timeline?)

Probably means the clip you are using is not the same resolution as the sequence setting
If it’s like that, depending on what need to do you might need to right click on sequence in project bin and select New Sequence From Clip – do the deinterlace there, then insert that sequence in your main edit
