    Hi all,

I just mastered a progressive edit to beta. I encountered a problem with the credit roll which was created in After effects as a progressive QT animation. I dropped it onto the DV50 timeline and watched it back through my broadcast monitor and it was butter-smooth. When I mastered it to beta through our kona LHe I was informed by the dubbing house that the credits had flicker and it appeared that the fields were incorrectly setup (I’m in PAL land). I’m a bit confused as to why the animation would look great on my monitor but be flickering on the beta tape. What am I overlooking?

    Thanks in advance

    Richard

Is your broadcast monitor a CRT which properly displays interlaced video? Do you often deliver 25P credit rolls for PAL? Without seeming to criticize, why would you not deliver 50i credits?
