How can i really change the captured dv files field order from low to up first. I use PAL SD/IMX project properties with up field . When i change the field order nothing happens. The final render DV avi file with up filed is jerky(only when the DV clips appear.)I use this settings because most footage of this project is from dvd’s imported with Vegas.

Standard DV and MPEG2 is lower field first.

If you want to change any particular clip, just right-click it and change the properties. If you want to change the render, you’ll need to change the project properties and make sure the correct options are picked in the render.

I think mpeg2 files from VOB are upfield so Vegas default label it as upfield footage. But that;s not the problem. The problem is that if U right click as u say to change the field order….in the final rendered file has not changed, the footage still is jerky. The Dv clip still is lowfield first so in the rendered up filed file plays jerky.I found a solution searching the net…got to pan/crop and move one pixel up the y center(from 288 to 289)and the field plays back right. The bad thing that with this method Vegas rerender the clip.

I believe in V8 boys has fixed this Field conflict .

Jed thank u for your response.
