Field timing issues with HDV Vegas Rendering
I’m getting strange intermittent problems with my renders. I’m working in Vegas 10c on a video that was shot by Z7U and Z1U cameras. Its a mixture of Progressive and Interlaced video on the timeline. the footage looks fine on the timeline, but when I render out to HDV or Blu-ray MPegs (haven’t tried other formats), I get an assortment of issues that all seem to apply to some of the interlaced footage in the edit. At times it seems as though it is skipping a frame every 1/2 second or so, and at other times, a shot will be a double image, as if one field is a frame or 2 off of the other in timing. I’m using the vegas preset settings for a 25Mbps blu-ray render or 1080i HDV output. Project settings. The footage was shot at 1/30th shutter, but this is not the typical slow shutter motion blur.
PC: 2.4Ghz Intel Core2quad, 4Gb, Win7 64bit.

Here are some stills:
Source footage (how it should look)
Same frame taken from render (Notice the image doubling)
Any help is much appreciated. I need to get this video on a Blu-Ray.
Thanks!-Tim
