Hello, I’ve got a material that was incorrectly mastered on to tape: the frame borders are in betweeen fields. In other words: the actual frame is assembled from 2nd field of previus frame and 1st field of actual frame OR frame borders are moved by 1 field. Is there any tool I can use to move all the fields by field forward/backward ?
    Thank you.

    Hi Peter,
If you got Shake you can try it with the “Conversion” in the timing tab. It suposed can do things like that re-interlace movies that has being rendered in the wrong order. With FC you should have a look to RE-Vision Fields Kit or similar. RE-Vision Fields Kit is a very good tool and affordable.

    Hi,
it is actually not a problem of field order. I hope I am not wrong, but when you have a wrong field order it means that fields that belong to the same frame are swapped. So, odd field plays after the even field (PAL). But our case is different: Suppose you have three frames A,B and C with fields 1 and 2, Normally it is in this order: [A1A2][B1B2][C1C2] but our case is this: [..A1][A2B1][B2C1][C2..].

Yes Peter I understand that is not just to shift the field order. To do that the “Shift-fields” in FC would be enough. What you got is a big mess of lines and for these cases Is why I recommended you Shake or RE-Vision FK.
    Cheers,
    Rafael
