field order not correct in FCP
I’m working on a 30 second PAL HDV project.
I’ve set the the presets in Motion to have the Field Order to be Lower (Even). And in FCP my Sequence Presets is set to Lower field. But when I import my Motion file into FCP the item properties are telling me that the field Dominance is Upper(odd).
Does anyone know hat am I doing wrong here?

I was under the impression PAL HDV was always upper…

I am not an expert on FCP, but I would apply deinterlace filter in FCP, this should fix the problem.

1080i is always upper field first.

Do that only if you want to halve the resolution of your footage. Otherwise stick with upper field dominance, this is interlaced footage.

I just did a research on internet seems that upper is the way forward.
