    OK,

What I did. I made video in PP. Exported to mpeg-2. I then deleted the original dv-avi (need to buy more storage but didn’t have time); I then saw I needed to fix an error. So I only had the mpeg-2 file. Went back in PP and fix the error. Used Adobe media encoder again to export as mpeg-2. When I compile the DVD in Encore cs3 the dvd plays back like I chose to do upper field first this time. I created a file like this to make sure that is what happens. Sure enough the fast motion is really not good.

First video using same process plays fine. When I had to change the mpeg-2 file and encoded it again as an mpeg-2 (all default settings) when I compile the dvd in ecore; it looks like I changed the field order. So I edited an mpeg-2 file I created; re-encoded it per say as a mpeg-2 file; compiled burn to dvd in Ecore CS3 and plays bad second time around. Does re-encoding an mpeg-2 file cause problems??

Any suggestions or comments would be great for this newbie.

    Thanks
