    hi all
    i am a bit of an encore twinkie but . . .
i have spent several transcodes this evening trying to get “it” right
i first did a defaultish 2 pass without paying attention to the field order – bad! so then i changed the field order to lower ( i am pal) – still bad so then i changed to progressive – still not good but i dont want to be up all night
has anyone had field order problems?
i wacked it into combustion to see how it did the fields and upper was fine
my gut feeling was that it didn’t seem to change the look no matter what field order i set
    i like encore so far . . . . .
please – any reflections would help?
    cheers
    roen

have you tried allowing Encore to automatically transcode for you?, it does a satisfactory job of it all on it’s own,

    thanx for the response!
i think the dv codec that i used to export from my edit platform is poor.
the next morning (after pondering while asleep) i re exported as uncompressed – 26 gig file – and it transcoded beautifully.
my suspicion is that the dv codec already messed with the field order
    cheers
