    Hello,

I’m probably just having a funny turn, but starting over after a break from using Vegas Pro (v 10) I could have sworn it used to successfully import and use video stored as FFV1.

I can get it to render as FFV1 (via ffdshow), but can’t use it within the program (regardless of the source program – though all use ffdshow).

It’s no biggy as I can use Lagarith/HuffyUV etc, but just wondered if it’s something with my setup, or it’s simply that Vegas in general won’t find/use the required FFV1 codec?

    Anyone using FFV1 successfully?

    Thanks,
    Ian

Make sure you haven’t mistakenly disabled FFV1 in the ffdshow decoder options (under Codecs in the ffdshow decoder configuration)

    Thanks for your reply, Matt.

But no, that’s all fine (libavcodec). Plus they’re already being decoded correctly via ffdshow using other software like Media Player Classic, KMPlayer etc.

So sre FFV1 files playing ok for you within Vegas, Matt?

Actually, I’ve never used the FFV1 codec, but I have used ffdshow to help with a couple of odd situations where I didn’t have the codec or the existing Windows/Vegas codec didn’t work correctly. I tend to use ffdshow only for playback in MPC or other media players.
