Festivals Preferred Aspect Ratio?
I’m just about to have an animation transferred to betaSP and/or digibeta but I’m unsure about what ratio to get it done as.
It is originally 16:9 but should I get it transfered as Full Height Anamorphic or letter-box 16:9? What do most festivals prefer and are most set up to project FHA?

Well most film festivals are showing non-anamorphic films so I imagine they are set up for 1.85:1 (35mm) and 16:9 (1.78:1) for S16mm and HD stuff. So I imagine either one. But 2.35:1 anamorphic is probably not ever used since it costs a LOT of money to art direct a huge frame like that when shooting.
