    Hello!
I’m the editor for a short that just got accepted to a film festival in Paris. The film was shot in 23.976, but the festival is requesting a “Quicktime – Apple Pro Res PAL” export which is a codec request I’ve never received before (they didn’t include any other specs). I assume this is because the festival is in Paris, ie. international. Is this as simple as choosing a prores codec and simply re-setting the frame rate to 25fps? Will this create any sort of drop-frame or warping? Anyone have insight into this? For reference, I’m using Premiere Pro version 14.3.1, on a Mac.
    Thanks so much!

Not sure if that will affect timing with audio though…

    Hello, Dulcinee DeGuere!
I believe you should convert/export again your project under the desired specs. I would do that and then watch the movie again in order to see if everything is normal. There’s a easy way of doing that with AfterCodecs. You could either export it following the Festival’s request from Premiere or you could use Media Encoder to transcode your video following the Festival’s rules. Take a look on http://www.autokroma.com/AfterCodecs. I believe you wouldn’t get any warp errors nor a drop-frame situation.

Let me know if that worked for you. I hope you fix your problems! =)

To any moderator coming to my post: I’m not making any advertisement regarding products whatsoever. I’m just trying to help a colleague by suggesting a possibility that might help her solving her problems regarding the festival rules.

    Best wishes,

    Daniel Carranza
