While this is true, there’s another little tidbit one would want to keep in mind: do NOT use a drive that’s being used for any other purpose, because the HVX will format it and delete everything that’s on that drive!

Only use a drive that you can dedicate solely to offloading from the HVX.

If you choose to use your ipod for offloading, understand that the HVX will format its drive, and your ipod will no longer function as an ipod.
