FEC 4.0 Upgrade Question
I’m thinking about upgrading my copy of FEC 4.0 to be current with the BorisFX ownership. My problem is that I currently do not have FEC installed on my computer, I upgraded the HD about a year ago and never bothered to re-install FEC. While I still have the install disc and Auth. Key #, I do not have a unique ID for this computer. I remember the registration process being a real pain in the ass (which is why I did not re-install) and frankly I don’t know if the links to Media 100 even work anymore. So I’m wondering if I buy the upgrade, will it require me to have a version of FEC installed on my computer, or will it just ask me to insert the original disc for verification?

This won’t be a problem. We no longer use the PACE installer, so we actually have you remove the older FEC version plug-ins before installing. If you contact our sales department at 1-888-772-6747 or sales@borisfx.com they should be able to handle this.
