Almost all export settings for video are about youtube.

Some of us are lightyears ahead of that and want to put their feature film on FilmHub and Vuulr. And want a film file prepared to be able to be shown Netflix or Apple TV+.

As I understand streaming sites, classify those type of settings as Broadcasting.

The settings are for an HD film. 1920×1080

Can anybody provide a rundown of export settings. Picture and Sound etc:

Some things I read repeatedly like Apple ProRes, VBR-2 pass. But want to try and get a more full settings layout.

Appreciate all help and advice given. Thank you everyone.

Each broadcaster have their own specifications, so there is almost never one magic export setting that is the right one for all broadcasters. If you are delivering to Netflix, ask them for specifications. If you deliver to Apple TV, ask them for specifications, etc, etc. Boring? Yes.

You always want the start from the best quality master.

And just as Roger suggested, check the target streaming service.

The specs you mentioned are the basic broadcast aspect ratio for cable.

Apple ProRes is more of a working format.

Some may accept that so they can do their own magic compression setting.

VBR2 is most likely h264 which leans to web.

Some streaming may accept that but again you need to ask their specs.
