There does not seem to be an obvious feather option for images. You can draw out a rectangle mask attached to the image and use a blur filter on the mask.

Maybe Greg knows of a more elegant solution….

This one is pretty easy. Draw a rectangle mask on your video clip, then open the inspector for the mask. There’s a feather slider in there.
