    Or Create a new folder within Applications called FCPX and put FCPX in it (Motion 5 and Compressor 4 as well). Then install FCS as normal.

    You may not want to do that. There’s never going to be an update to the studio apps, but you probably don’t want to hide the current versions.

    The App Store doesn’t seem to have a problem finding Apps within subfolders. Does the old software update need to see the new apps as well?
