    Hi there,

I’m new to Creative Cow and have a couple of urgent questions that I need answers to right away.

    1) Will Final Cut Studio 2 run on the MacBook Pro 17″ (from fall 2006) despite that the former requires an “AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card”?

    2) Any compromises with Color, Motion 3, etc?

    Thanks!

    Yes. It will.

A Mac Pro with a beefy graphics card will handle those apps better, but the MacBook Pro will still run them.

For video out, you should consider the Matrox MXO.
