  • FCPX XML Issues – TImecode extents do not match Error.

    Hey gang,

I searched and found a few old topics about this – mostly unresolved.

Basically I am importing an XML into Resolve from FCPX 10.1.4. It’s not automatically finding all the files it should, I point it in the right direction and then it finds most of them.

Trouble is, the clips from my Canon 1DC either in their raw codec (MJPEG) or transcoded via FCPX or Resolve just won’t connect in the timeline. It comes up with a “Timecode extents do not match” error in the import report. I should say that stuff shot on the GH4 and from pre-existing edited ProRes files is fine and imports correctly.

When you look at the timecode references in the XML compared to the timecode that Resolve reads from the file in the media pool – they are not even close. So it’s no wonder they are not able to match.

Any ideas? This issue is driving me nuts and I can’t seem to get any decent answers. . . 🙁

    Hope you can help.

Thank you in advance to anybody who spares the time.

right click clip in media pool, check clip attributes and make sure frame rate matches that of project. Or call Dwayne who’s a genius at Resolve support
