Whenever I try to import an audio file, be it MP3, WAV, or AIFF, all of which are compatible with FCPX according to the Help guide, the audio set at 48KHz, I get the following error message:

“[Whatever folder I try to import the audio file from] contains unsupported media or has an invalid director structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.”

So far, I’ve tried importing from the Audacity exports folder (I promise it is the actual export file), iTunes, the downloads folder, and the Music folder, and I get the same error message every time.

It also won’t import audio from other hard drives.

I downloaded the program yesterday, and have been having this issue the whole time.

I’m running FCPX 10.0.4 on a Mac Mini with Mac OS X 10.7.4. Audacity is Version 2.0.

FCPX will import video just fine.
