Hi, using “color wheels” new feature I’ve found an issue in the brightness control for the highlights, midtones and shadows. For example if you change the brightness value of shadows the highlights value change too and it should not. It doesn’t happen with “color board” exposure value if you change the shadows value the highlights level don’t change at all. Is it a bug? Apple knows?

Can’t say I’ve seen it. There’s little bit of crossover as you’d expect but the colour board and the colour wheels function pretty much the same way here.

oops… Sorry Jeff, I’ve pushed the wrong button. ☹
Create with photoshop a png gradient from white to black, open the waveform and make some test

I’ve found out another little bug… if you try to insert a numeric value in brightness and saturation controls of “color wheels”… You can do but it doesn’t work.

I’ve just used color wheels and checked the highlight control on a clip I was grading. There is some crossover when manipulation the highlight control but it is no different than color curves or color board on my system. From what I see the grading effect behaves as I would expect.

I just tested it and the wheels don’t work the same as the Board or the Curves. The highlights pull up the shadows and vice versa.
