My files are MTS files… I can convert those IN FCPX?
I thought I needed a converter like BrorSoft.

How would I do that in FCPX?

Yes, that’s right. The show was a huge success here in Finland and the last episode was aired last wednesday.

BTW Jesse Jokela, the editor, did all soundmixing inside FCPX and also the grading on Resolve and I can tell you that it all looked and sounded suberb!
The show (8 episodes) has been sold to some countries, but I don’t know which ones. The name of the show translated from finnish is “Arman’s Last Crusade”.

And the crew on location consisted of two guys (the host Arman Alizad and the DOP Tuukka Tiensuu, who also edited few episodes on FCP7) and it was shot mainly on a Canon 3D MKIII.

This is pretty awesome. I always hear people say that they work so much faster in X. Has anyone ever done a comparison video of the same project done in X and PP? I don’t know if it would be the same editor that is efficient in both or two different editors but I think it would have to be the same project with a split screen. I would love to see that. Just not as fast as this video though.

Don’t know about that, but Aindreas posted a pretty cool PPro time-lapse the other day. What I find cool is not so much time compressed cutting – that always looks cool – but the the end product. My guess would be, at least in terms of audio, the same cut in a tracked NLE would have looked way more complicated… Also, the trailer/teaser for the show Jari added to his post is really well done. leaving aside the software, it looks like a pretty crazy show…
