  • FCPX Transitions – only linear fade possible?

I am using a gradient image transition and would like to control the fade in/fade out of the transition. By default it is linear and I would like to adjust that to a S curve. IS this possible in FCPX? I did not find anything in the help.

Also, I saw it mentioned that all transitions in FCPX are Motion templates and indeed right clicking on many transitions brings up the option to open a copy in Motion… However, none of the wipes have that option…

    Any insights? Thanks in advance…
