FCPX to Ableton Live 9
I am considering using a mixer / composer who uses Ableton Live 9 to mix his music and audio. He says he wants it in .WAV format. I have no idea what to do to send him the master timeline and the audio in a .WAV? Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my XML to him for mastering the audio?

If he can import a ProTools Session- you could make one with x2Pro. Or you could try more manually via:

Thanks so would I only be able to get it to ableton via pro tools? I’m trying to convince him to get Logic Pro or pro tools so it can be a little easier of a round trip.

Not sure- but I know of no tools that would make an Ableton session as quickly as you can get a ProTools session going.

If he’s looking for WAV files to do the mix, you could export this directly from FCPX.
First thing is to make sure you’ve got Roles properly assigned for all clips in your timeline. Then share / export ‘Master File’ as shown below. You can then do a low-res mp4 of the video that he can use for sync.
