FCPX stuck on “Updating Event”
When I launch FCPX with a FireWire drive with several events, I get a drop-down sheet that goes through “Loading” and “Updating” for each event. However, if I launch FCPX with the drive already plugged in, it will hang at “Updating Event” for a random event on the drive (it stops at a random one each time).
If I launch FCPX without the drive attached, then attach the drive, it goes through all events successfully every time.
Does anyone know why this might be doing this?

What version of FCPX are you on? I had a similar thing happen when I updated the app a couple versions ago… (I’m on .07 now, can’t recall which version update this happened on though…) I just kept force quitting and restarting the app ’til it got through them all. It seemed to pick up where it left off each time. Once they were all updated it was fine. Not sure what you’re seeing is the same but…
