Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro FCPX Reference Waveform audio levels, but no audio.

    It was a corruption issue and the audio was not recorded. How FCPX determined there was audio is beyond me.

    Reference waveform is always drawn, whether there is actual signal or not.

    Indeed. There was no audio on my clips, thank you audio guy, but FCPX drew a “phantom waveform” just to let me know where it would be HAD there been audio. I would love to see that eliminated. Wasted precious time trying to chase down something that was never there in the first place.
