  • FCPX not showing Camera Archives folders

    Hey all

I just want to see if I am not overlooking something basic here. I have 4 different cameras that each shot an event. I created uniquely named folders and dumped the archives from the SD card into that folder.
So cam 1 was P2 – Created folder John Camera – and copied all of the data from the cards ito that folder – not changing any of the contents – just copying and pasting –

So there are 3 cameras and a gopro – did the same with the gopro

I have FCPX10.1.4 – When I go to import footage – It ignores the folders I created and just shows you all of the content and media clips – 3000 of them in a list !!!! Never had that before

    Any advice

Create a disk image from each of these folders.

BTW: Never copy cards using the Finder.

[Andreas Kiel] “BTW: Never copy cards using the Finder.”

Exactly. If you want to archive, use the actual archive feature and this sort of thing won’t crop up.
