October 23, 2012 at 7:34 pmHi Everyone,
With FCPX being updated to version 10.0.6, you can now work directly with Phantom Cine files.
Our Phantom Cine Toolkit v3.1 works perfectly (actually, amazingly!) with FCPX. You can import Cine file directly into FCPX without transcoding. This is full RAW playback in 16-bit RGB.Combined with our GPU rendering, even laptops handle the raw files rather well.
This is the update that I have been waiting for, kudos to the engineers at Apple! They are really doing fantastic work!I look forward to see what people do with our software, and the sophisticated cameras that Vision Research has produced.
Enjoy!

October 23, 2012 at 8:23 pmThis must be a mistake, since everybody knows that FCP-X isn’t really a serious editing program for grown ups.
(emailing a contact who shoots a Phantom as we speak, – can’t wait to check this out!)

October 23, 2012 at 8:29 pmBelieve me, it is a pretty good update. The responsiveness of the app with our software is simply amazing.
I have been thoroughly impressed with how effortless playback seems. Even on a laptop. But don’t take my word for it. Play with it!
I will see if I can post some Phantom Cine files on our FTP Server, for those of you that don’t have a Phantom Camera laying around.bob.
