    Hello CC,

i have some PAL SD graphic overlay all compressed to apple proress 4444 from AME to overlay over my video in FCPX. However, I get black outlines on the graphics when displayed on a DVD exported from FCPX. Is that usually the case? Or is FCPX not the best option for DVD authoring? (This is not the case when both video and graphics are rendered together into AME before imported into FCPX, this is only the case when graphics are separate with alpah channel)

    Example:

Not sure what the question is exactly. DVD shouldn’t be a factor here. If the encoded video looks like this before going to DVD it won’t change after becoming MPEG2. Make sure the footage is the way you want it to look before encoding to DVD.

Check your alpha settings in the inspector and change them from ‘straight’ to ‘black’ or vice versa.
