  FCPX Corrupt Thumbnail?

  Does anyone know if we can turn off Thumbnail generation in FCPX?

  I’ve got a situation where FCP continually hangs then crashes upon loading. Sometimes I can’t even get into the project. I’ve turned off the Background Rendering option, I have manually erased ALL Event and Project Render Files, I have exported the project as an XML and reimported as a new project and nothing seems to work. It does look like it hangs however as it’s trying to generate the thumbnails and thus my initial question.

  If anyone has an answer or any other advice, I’d be ecstatic to hear from you.
